What allergy medcations have you had the best luck with?
I'm having severe seasonal allergy symptoms and am going to go to the doctor but I was wondering what other people have had good luck with.

for sudden reactions. Benedryl is the only thing that works for me. Sometimes Visine allergy help if its just my eyes that are bothering my and note my nose or skin.
If you can predict when your allergies will start (Like you know that you are only allergic to grass, so you'll only have symtoms when there grass pollen), keep an eye on the weather channel and start taking claritin 3 days before that particular pollen season starts. I have had a lot of success with claritin in the past and have taken is annually for my tree pollen allergies for more than 10 years.
we have had great luck with loratidine (claritin). i have also had luck with taking loratidine in the morning which is non-drowsy and dyphenhydramine (benadryl) at night which also helps me sleep.
if you have high blood pressure do not use decongestant.
I like Aerius (desloratadine). I have mild asthma due to my allergies, and the Aerius also helps with that.
Everytime a new allergy medication has been approved over the last 10 years I have tried it for my allergies. Nothing has worked for me except for good old over the counter Benadryl. The side effect (drowsiness) is only a problem if I am not active.
