I have always been allergic to cats. I overcame my allergy when we adopted a cat. It took me a solid week of suffering but, he is worth it. He's the best cat in all the land and I'd suffer the allergies for him all over again.

Yes, as your body matures you may "grow" out of allergies. Conversely, as we age we can develop allergies.

just as you can develope allergies you can also grow out of them. i once developed allergies after having my tonsils taken out and about 2 years later no longer had any allregies. i would be careful when experimenting with food allergies however if you are deathly allergic to something abviously stay away from it. but if its a pet or seasonal allergy sure you can most likely grow out of it. i would highly recomend claritin however it works great. my son is allergic to grass and after getting him on childrens claritin which is something he takes once a day we have never had any problems.

its quite common to grow out of allergies, however, being allergic to dogs which are around you all the ime… ive never actually heard of that ..sorry :(
if its a hayfever type thing, or asthma related, it could well be reduced, but you may never be announced 'cured'!

Yep, it is. I was always allergic to cats and dogs, but now I'm not, it just sort of faded away.
