If it is one done w/ shots then they will know in like 10-20 min. after you begin to swell the the things you are allergic to. Good luck…its a bit painful I had 64 different shots in my arms.

You get the results like 4 years after the test is done.
At least in my town you do.
We have to send the results by horseback though, so it's probably quicker where you live!

Well it takes about 6 weeks for wheat allergy my son has it but i think its all the same for all big tests good luck xxxxx

Are you having a food allergy panel done or a skin irritant test?

If it's the food panel (they take a sample of your blood and test hundreds of food that possibly causes a reaction) it can take several weeks.

If it's a skin test (it takes a couple of hourse and you will lay on your stomach while a technician placing hundreds of needles on your back. each needle contains a tiny amount of possible allergins, if you get a small bruise-like mark where the needle was, you are allergic to whatever was in the needle) you'll know sooner than the food panel. I imagine they could tell you right away

The results should be given as soon as the test is over for a skin test. It is quite an uncomfortable test, particularly if you have allergies. They performed mine on my back in a grid of about a hundred pin ******. The allergens have to sit on your back for a while for them to see if you have a reaction and how severe the reaction is. The allergy will be rated on a scale of 0-4+ (based on the amount of swelling around the spot). . .0 being no allergy, 4+ being severe allergy. Food allergies may take longer for results (as some people have noted), but I have never been tested for food allergies.
